Guest Experience Agent

JOB SUMMARY
As the first point of contact for our guests, the Guest Experience Agent plays a key role in shaping the guest experience at both Revelstoke Mountain Resort and The Sutton Place Hotel. This role requires a detail-oriented and service-driven individual who can effectively manage guest and FIT reservations, provide information, and promote all that the resort and hotel have to offer.
The successful candidate thrives under pressure, delivers exceptional customer service, and acts as an ambassador for Revelstoke by promoting accommodations, resort services, activities, the community,
and FIT booking opportunities.
KEY RESPONSIBILITIES
Handle incoming reservations via phone, email, and online systems in a professional and courteous manner.
Use Aspenware, RTP, and Opera Cloud and other booking platforms to make, modify, and cancel reservations.
Process payments, issue confirmations, and maintain accurate records of reservations, room assignments, and guest accounts.
Manage FIT reservations by creating, modifying, and confirming bookings, coordinating package components, and ensuring guest details, payments, and documentation are accurate and complete.
Act as the hotel operator, assisting both future and in-house guests with inquiries and requests.
Drive sales and promote resort offerings, including accommodations, lift tickets, rentals, snow school, season passes, dining, and special packages, while managing reservations and guest bookings
Up-sell by informing guests of value-add options (e.g., lift ticket bundles, rental add-ons, or activity packages).
Provide accurate information about hotel services, resort departments, and community offerings.
Work closely and collaboratively with all hotel and resort departments to ensure seamless guest service.
Address guest complaints and resolve issues promptly with professionalism.
Support the Guest Services, Front Desk, and Sales teams as required, performing additional duties as needed.
MINIMUM REQUIREMENTS
High school diploma, G.E.D., or equivalent (post-secondary in hospitality/tourism an asset).
Previous experience in sales, reservations, or customer service—hospitality or ski resort experience strongly preferred.
Knowledge of reservation and sales systems (Inntopia, RTP, Opera, or similar) is an asset.
Experience working with FIT reservations, rooming lists, wholesale or travel trade bookings, or contracted packages is considered a strong asset.
Strong written and verbal communication skills; additional languages (French, German, Spanish, etc.) considered an asset.
Exceptional interpersonal, conflict resolution, and objection-handling skills.
Ability to multi-task and adapt quickly in a dynamic environment.
Highly organized, detail-oriented, and proficient with Microsoft Office Suite and data entry.
Flexible availability, including evenings, weekends, and holidays.
