About the role

We are looking for an ambitious and commercially driven Sales Account Manager to join our team in Canada. This role offers the opportunity to develop and grow relationships with some of the country's leading food and sausage manufacturers, supplying high-quality natural and collagen casings to the meat processing industry. If you enjoy building long-term customer partnerships, identifying new business opportunities, and working in a consultative sales setting, we'd love to hear from you.

Responsibilities

As Sales Account Manager, you will be responsible for managing and growing a portfolio of customers across Canada while identifying and securing new business opportunities, including:

- Developing new business opportunities and acquiring new customers
- Managing and strengthening relationships with existing accounts
- Regularly visiting customers and key stakeholders across Canada
- Organising customer meetings, events, and business reviews
- Providing accurate sales forecasts and order information to internal teams
- Maintaining customer records and sales activity within the CRM system
- Delivering technical support and product advice to customers
- Investigating and resolving customer concerns in a professional manner
- Monitoring market trends, competitor activity, and industry developments




- Sharing market insights and product intelligence with customers and internal stakeholders

About you

- Proven experience in a Sales or Account Management role
- Experience selling into food processing or manufacturing environments
- A strong interest in the meat processing industry, with industry knowledge highly desirable
- Excellent communication, influencing, and negotiation skills
- A proactive and results-oriented approach to business development
- Strong problem-solving skills and the ability to resolve customer challenges effectively
- Experience using CRM systems such as Salesforce, QlikSense, JD Edwards, or similar
- Good knowledge of Microsoft Office applications, including Word, Excel, and PowerPoint

Desirable

- Bachelor's degree in Business, Sales, Marketing, or a related discipline
- Previous experience within the meat processing sector
- Fluent French - verbal and written is highly desirable

Travel Requirements This role requires frequent travel throughout Canada and other plants in North America, with approximately 40% travel expected. Candidates must be based in either Toronto or Montreal and be comfortable travelling to customer sites, sometimes at short notice. A valid, clean driver's licence is essential.

Role Location

This position can be based in Montreal or Toronto and for the first 3 months, you will be required to work in our Montreal office on a regular basis.
