The Manager motivates, mentors, and holds their team accountable to service standards and the professional, polished appearance of each team member.
Supports and instills a collaborative and supportive work environment within the restaurant, as well as those departments who support the service experience ensure excellence and consistency. The Scarlet & Express Manager will be the administrative strength, mentoring the Supervisory team in maintaining service expectations, and supporting the Express Supervisor in operational aspects.
Responsibilities:
· Recruitment, training and development of all Scarlet service associates
· Implement standard operating procedures and hold others accountable to a high level of service
· Scheduling of all Scarlet service staff with ability to forecast revenue via local happenings in conjunction with hotel operations; Monthly forecasting and payroll balancing
· Communicate strengths of service staff to help the Assistant Manager in scheduling of all Scarlet service staff; and adjust schedule as necessary based on business volumes
· Ensure accuracy of point of sale system and updating as necessary
· Set operational par stocks, conduct inventory counts, complete variance reports
· Performance management of all Scarlet service associates (coaching discussions, succession planning, performance reviews)
· Contribute to overall strategic goals, initiatives and objectives
· Ensure all cost control and security measures are in place and adhered to
· Achieve revenue and profit goals by developing and implementing strategies to increase revenue and control costs
· Requisitioning supplies for Scarlet and ordering wares for Scarlet
· Analyze operation to creatively problem solve as necessary
· Liaise with Guest Services regarding processes, opportunities/concerns in Room Service
· Motivate associates and build a culture of respect, recognition and celebration amongst the team as well as supporting teams
· Conduct regular departmental meetings, weekly supervisor meetings, and pre-shift huddles to ensure departmental goals are achievable
· Attend and participate in divisional and hotel meetings
· Strong effective communication with the Executive Chef
· Ensure checks are in place for proper food safe handling and responsible alcohol service
· Ensures the room and staff are professionally presented at all times
· Regular inspection of the room and patio reporting any maintenance or deep cleaning requirements
· Ensure tip out process in place and adhered to in a fair and equitable manner
· Diligent response to all guest opportunities
· Manage the daily operations and administration of Express and associates of Express
Qualifications:
· A certificate/diploma/degree in Hospitality Management or equivalent experience
· A minimum of 2-3 years’ experience as a Manager in a high volume restaurant
· Can demonstrate strong leadership skills
· Proven track record in revenue growth, promotions and training
· Excellent guest, customer and employee relations skills
· Previous financial planning and forecasting experience
· Organized; detail-oriented; takes initiative
· Excellent team building and interpersonal skills
· Responsible alcohol certificate
· Food Safe handling certificate
