Duties

- Install and configure security systems including CCTV cameras, intrusion detection systems (IDS), sensors, access control panels, and telecommunication equipment.
- Read and interpret blueprints, schematics, and electrical diagrams to ensure accurate system installation aligned with project specifications.
- Conduct routine maintenance and inspections of low voltage wiring, power supplies, and computer hardware associated with security systems.
- Troubleshoot technical issues related to CCTV footage, network connectivity, sensors, and mechanical components using hand tools and power tools.
- Collaborate with construction teams to integrate security systems into building infrastructure during new construction or renovation projects.
- Document installation procedures, system configurations, and maintenance activities accurately for record-keeping and future reference.




- Provide technical support and training to clients on system operation, troubleshooting procedures, and system upgrades.

Skills

- Proficiency in reading blueprints, schematics, and technical diagrams related to security infrastructure.
- Strong construction experience with knowledge of building codes and safety standards.
- Familiarity with computer hardware setup, networking principles, and telecommunication systems.
- Electrical experience including wiring low voltage systems safely and efficiently.
- Hands-on experience with CCTV installation, configuration, and troubleshooting.
- Mechanical knowledge for installing sensors, motion detectors, alarms, and other physical components.
- Ability to use hand tools such as screwdrivers, wire strippers, drills, power tools, and testing equipment effectively.
- Understanding of low voltage electrical systems and power supplies essential for security device operation.
- Knowledge of intrusion detection systems (IDS), sensors (motion detectors, glass break sensors), and access control hardware.
- Experience working with schematics for system integration and troubleshooting complex security networks.
