Senior Business Analyst / Project Manager (Bonds & Rates)

Number of positions: 1, 12-Month Contract initially

Location: Toronto, ON (Hybrid — 4 days/week onsite)

Must be eligible to work in Canada

Roles and responsibilities:

We are seeking a versatile BA/PM to support a growing Capital Markets technology team focused on Canada Bonds and Rates platforms. In this hybrid role, you will bridge the gap between business priorities and technical delivery, supporting a developer team across trade lifecycle processes, analytics, and platform integrations.

Key Responsibilities

- Drive end-to-end delivery within an Agile environment, taking ownership of requirements gathering, trade lifecycle documentation, and project milestones.
- Perform data validation, risk analysis, and PnL reporting verification using SQL and analytical tools.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to support regulatory compliance, internal controls, and audit preparation.
- Leverage AI productivity tools (e.g., Copilot, ChatGPT) to optimize daily workflows and documentation.

Must have skills/experience/qualifications

Required:



A minimum of 5+yrs of Business analysis and PM experience:

Capital Markets Expertise: Deep knowledge of Rates, Bonds, Credit, and Mortgages, including risk measures, valuation concepts, and PnL.

- Agile & Project Management: Proven experience in Agile environments (PI Planning experience preferred); ability to manage multiple priorities independently.
- Technical Skills: Solid SQL proficiency for data analysis and validation.
- Domain Knowledge: Experience with trade lifecycle processes, vendor platforms, and audit/control framework support.
- AI Integration: Hands-on experience using generative AI tools to streamline documentation and operational efficiency.

Assets / Desired:

- Platforms & Networks: Experience with Bloomberg TOMS, Broadridge, MHUB, TMX, CCMS, CDS, or FMCNET.
- Technical & Regulatory: Python/scripting skills; familiarity with FRTB, SA-CCR, IFRS 9/CECL, or mortgage analytics.
- Certifications: CFA, FRM, or Agile certifications (SAFe, CSM, PSM).
