The Senior Project
Manager in this role will lead the delivery of critical initiatives within our Payment Services Optimization program. You will drive transformation across payables, receivables, and invoice processing, laying the foundation for scalable, highly efficient payment operations.
Project Delivery & Execution: Lead the end-to-end delivery of automation initiatives, including automated payment runs, invoice ingestion, payables/receivables, and commission settlements. Develop and manage detailed project plans, milestones, dependencies, and the critical path. Oversee technical and process integration across enterprise resource planning (ERP) platforms (e.g., Partner closely with Finance, Technology, and Operations leaders to define project requirements, set priorities, and drive timely decision-making.
Establish and maintain robust project governance, reporting structures, and controls. Deliver clear updates regarding project status, risks, dependencies, and key milestones to executive leadership and Steering Committees (SteerCo).
Risk & Dependency Management: Proactively identify and manage delivery risks, including vendor dependencies, resource constraints, and complex integration challenges.
Process Optimization & Transformation: Drive strategic initiatives focused on reducing manual effort, improving data accuracy, and streamlining payment workflows. Support the broader organizational transition toward centralized, fully automated payment operations. 8 to 12+ years of progressive experience in project or program management. ~ Proven track record of successfully delivering complex finance, ERP (such as JDE), or payment system transformation initiatives. ~ Solid,
demonstrated experience in system integration, vendor management, and business transformation within enterprise environments. ~ Exceptional financial acumen with a solid understanding of payables, receivables, and payment operations workflows. ~ Experience operating within the airline, travel, or large-scale logistics/hospitality industries. ~ Familiarity with modern cloud-based payment gateways, treasury management systems, and automated invoice‑matching tools. ~ Exceptional verbal and written communication skills with the ability to translate complex technical concepts for executive stakeholders. ~ Demonstrated ability to build consensus, bridge gaps between technical and business groups, and manage diverse stakeholder groups across multiple airline brands. ~ Strong critical thinking skills with the ability to navigate ambiguous environments and rapidly changing project parameters. ~ Collaborative leadership style focused on coaching cross-functional team members and fostering a culture of continuous improvement. ~ Bachelor's Degree in Business Administration, Finance, Computer Science, Information Systems, or a related field. ~ Professional project management designation (e.g., Bonus/Asset: Change management certification (e.g., this could be a colleague/manager that worked with you on Recent Projects that relate to this role Ask them to provide a Quick Endorsement - testimonial in point form of your accomplishment / value added) to highlight your skills for this role We can help!
