Construction Site Supervisor
We are seeking an experienced, motivated, and proactive Construction Site Supervisor to lead and coordinate daily construction activities on our projects. This role is responsible for ensuring all work is completed safely, efficiently, on schedule, and in accordance with project specifications, building codes, and quality standards. As a Construction Site Supervisor, you will oversee subcontractors, trades, suppliers, and site personnel while maintaining a safe and productive work environment.
Your leadership and construction expertise will play a key role in delivering successful projects from start to finish.
Responsibilities
- Supervise and coordinate all daily construction activities on site.
- Oversee subcontractors, trades, and labor crews to ensure work is completed according to project schedules and specifications.
- Monitor construction progress and proactively resolve site issues, delays, and conflicts.
- Ensure compliance with Ontario Building Code, health and safety regulations, and company safety policies.
- Conduct daily site inspections to ensure quality workmanship and identify deficiencies requiring correction.
- Coordinate deliveries of materials, equipment, and tools to maintain project productivity.
- Review construction drawings, specifications, and project documents to ensure work is performed accurately.
- Communicate effectively with project managers,
consultants, engineers, architects, inspectors, clients, and subcontractors.
- Maintain accurate daily site reports, safety documentation, inspection records, and progress updates.
- Schedule inspections and ensure deficiencies are corrected in a timely manner.
- Enforce housekeeping standards to maintain a clean, organized, and protected construction site.
- Assist in project planning, scheduling, and manpower allocation to meet project milestones.
- Ensure all workers use proper PPE and follow safe work practices at all times.
Qualifications & Experience
- Minimum 1 year of experience supervising commercial, institutional, industrial, or residential construction projects.
- Strong understanding of construction methods, sequencing, and building systems.
- Ability to read and interpret architectural, structural, mechanical, and electrical drawings.
- Experience coordinating multiple trades and subcontractors on active construction sites.
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
- Valid driver’s license with reliable transportation.
- Working at Heights and First Aid/CPR certifications are considered an asset.
- Ability to work in a fast-paced environment while managing multiple priorities.
Pay: From $22.00 per hour
