Job Summary

Loyalist Homes Inc. is seeking an experienced Site Supervisor to lead the day-to-day execution of our insurance restoration and rebuilding projects.

Working directly from approved plans and scopes of work, the Site Supervisor is the on-site point of accountability — coordinating sub-trades, driving the daily schedule, enforcing health and safety standards, and keeping both the office and our clients informed at every stage. This is a hands-on leadership role for someone who reads plans fluently, understands current building code, and takes full ownership of delivering quality work on time.

Responsibilities

- Read & interpret plans: Work confidently from architectural, structural, and mechanical drawings to direct construction activities on site.
- Schedule & place orders: Order materials in line with the project schedule and budget, ensuring correct quantities arrive on time.
- Coordinate sub-trades: Schedule, sequence, and supervise sub-trades to keep work flowing without conflicts or downtime.
- Organize the job site: Maintain a clean, orderly, and efficient site with proper material staging and access.
- Direct daily execution: Assign, oversee, and verify the daily tasks of workers to meet quality and productivity targets.
- Health & safety: Enforce all site safety regulations and OHSA requirements; conduct safety talks and maintain a compliant, hazard-free site.
- Inspections:



Coordinate and attend municipal and third-party inspections, ensuring work passes on the first visit.
- Client walk-throughs: Host professional client walk-throughs, answer questions, and represent Loyalist with confidence and care.
- Communicate proactively: Flag potential delays, complications, or scope issues to the office early — before they impact the deadline.
- Change orders: Identify changes in scope and submit clear, documented change order requests to the office for processing.

Qualifications & Experience

- 5+ years of supervisory experience in residential construction, renovation, or insurance restoration — able to run a site independently from day one.
- Proven ability to read and interpret construction drawings, specifications, and scopes of work.
- Thorough working knowledge of the Ontario Building Code (OBC) and current compliance standards, with a track record of passing inspections.
- Strong scheduling, material-ordering, and sub-trade coordination skills with a consistent history of meeting deadlines.
- Valid Ontario driver's licence and reliable transportation; WHMIS and Working at Heights certification (or willingness to obtain).
- Comfortable with digital tools for scheduling, documentation, and change order submission.

Pay: From $30.00 per hour
