Job Summary

We are seeking energetic and compassionate individual to join our team as Social, Recreation and Culinary Program Support. In this vital role, you will help facilitate a variety of engaging activities that promote home cooking skills, social interaction, recreational enjoyment, and culinary experiences. Your enthusiasm and communication skills will create a welcoming atmosphere where participants feel valued and inspired to participate fully.

Responsibilities

- Assist in planning and leading activities tailored to participants’ interests and abilities
- Support participants during activities to ensure safety, engagement, and enjoyment
- Foster positive interactions among participants, encouraging social skills development and community building
- Help set up activity spaces, prepare materials, and assist with clean-up to ensure smooth program operations




- Observe participant responses during activities to identify any special needs or concerns requiring attention
- Maintain a friendly, inclusive environment that promotes independence and confidence among participants

Requirements
- Diploma or degree in community recreation or developmental services, or comparable education/skilled experience
- Experience working with Autistic adults is highly preferred
- Knowledge, experience and interest in culinary program is highly preferred
- Strong skills and high emotional intelligence to connect effectively with diverse populations
- Demonstrated mentoring ability with patience, empathy, and enthusiasm
- Ability to work collaboratively within a team-oriented environment
- Prior experience in caregiving or recreational programming is beneficial but not required

We value energetic team players who are committed to fostering inclusive communities where everyone feels connected and supported. Pay: $23.00-$27.00 per hour

Education

- DCS / DEC (required)

Experience:
- recreational programming: 3 years (required)
- culinary: 3 years (preferred)

Work Location: In person
