Shift and Hours
Monday to Friday, 2:30 am to 9:00 am (6 hours per day, 30 hours per week guaranteed).
Compensation
As per collective agreement: starting rate $22.94 per hour with guaranteed annual raises; top rate $29.23 per hour.
Location
Prince George Depot.
Requirements
- Must be able to lift up to 70 lbs on a regular basis.
- Must be able to pass a criminal record check.
- Experience with working in a warehouse considered an asset.
Description
The AM Sorter sorts and separates freight by destination, weight, size, and shape to meet client delivery schedules.
Responsibilities
- Unload freight from curbside trucks onto the conveyor and from conveyor into curbside trucks.
- Unload freight off conveyor or chute for load‑out.
- Load freight into linehaul/cube truck or trailer.
- Preload mail and packages into curbside delivery vehicles.
- Manually transfer bulk or non‑conveyable items.
- Scan all shipped or received mail or packages to identify improperly sorted packages and mail marked for priority or weekend delivery.
Language Requirement
Proficiency in English is required.
