We are seeking an experienced, results-driven, and customer-focused Supermarket Operations Manager to oversee the daily operations of our supermarket. The successful candidate will be responsible for managing staff, inventory, sales performance, customer service, and overall store operations to ensure efficiency.

Responsibilities:

- Oversee the day-to-day operations of the supermarket to ensure smooth and effective service.

- Develop and implement operational policies and procedures to improve productivity.

- Ensure the store is clean, organized, and fully stocked at all times.

- Monitor opening and closing procedures and ensure operational compliance.

- Ensure all departments operate efficiently and meet company standards.

- Supervise, train, motivate, and evaluate supermarket staff.

- Prepare staff schedules and manage attendance, leave, and shift rotations.

- Set performance targets and monitor employee productivity.

- Foster a positive, customer-focused, and high-performance work environment.

- Address staff concerns and implement disciplinary procedures where necessary.

- Oversee inventory control and stock replenishment.

- Monitor stock levels and coordinate timely ordering of products.

- Minimize stock losses due to damage, theft, or expiration.

- Conduct regular stock counts and inventory audits.

- Ensure accurate pricing and product labeling across all departments.





- Monitor daily sales performance and implement strategies to increase revenue.

- Ensure excellent customer service and promptly resolve customer complaints.

- Coordinate promotional campaigns, product displays, and merchandising activities.

- Analyze customer buying trends and recommend improvements to product offerings.

- Maintain high standards of product availability and presentation.

- Prepare and manage operational budgets.

- Monitor operating expenses and implement cost-control measures.

- Review daily sales reports, cash reconciliations, and financial performance.

- Ensure proper cash handling and compliance with financial procedures.

- Work with the finance team to achieve profitability targets.

- Ensure compliance with health, safety, hygiene, and food safety regulations.

- Maintain security standards to safeguard customers, staff, and company assets.

- Ensure compliance with company policies and retail regulations.

- Conduct routine inspections to identify operational risks and implement corrective actions.

Requirements:

- Minimum of an HND in Business Administration, Marketing, Retail Management, or a related field.

- Proven years of experience in supermarket, retail, or store operations.

- Strong knowledge of retail operations, inventory management, merchandising, and customer service.

- Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite and Point of Sale (POS) systems.

- Excellent leadership, communication, and interpersonal skills.

- Strong analytical, financial, and problem-solving abilities.

- Ability to work under pressure and manage multiple priorities.
