ABOUT THE ROLE & TEAM
At SITA, we are shaping the future of aviation communications. Our technology connects airlines, airports, air navigation service providers, and air traffic management organizations across the globe, supporting critical operations that keep air travel moving safely and efficiently.
As a member of our Communications Systems Engineering team, you will contribute to the design, evaluation, testing, and evolution of advanced communication technologies supporting global aviation networks and will work across the verticals of telecommunications, networking, radio technologies, signal processing, and innovative engineering solutions.
WHAT YOU WILL DO
- Perform technical analyses, simulations, and performance assessments to support system optimization and innovation.
- Participate in laboratory integration, system setup, and proof-of-concept development activities.
- Contribute to the design and validation of communication network architectures and virtualized communications platforms.
- Support system integration, verification, validation, and troubleshooting activities in a laboratory setting.
- Collaborate with senior engineers on technical requirements analysis,
architecture studies, and design reviews.
- Support the design, development, testing, and evolution of advanced communications systems for global aviation networks.
- Contribute to engineering activities involving wireless communications, networking, radio technologies, and communication protocols.
- Assist in the evaluation and prototyping of emerging technologies, including Software Defined Radio (SDR) and digital communications solutions.
- Develop and maintain engineering documentation, technical reports, and test results.
- Assist in the development of automated testing tools and performance measurement frameworks.
- Work across multidisciplinary domains including communications, signal processing, software development, and systems engineering.
- Continuously build technical expertise through mentorship, hands-on engineering experience, and participation in complex technical investigations and projects.
Qualifications
WHO YOU ARE
- Bachelor's or Master's degree in Telecommunications Engineering, Electrical Engineering, Computer Engineering, Computer Science, Aerospace Engineering, or a related technical discipline.
- Minimum of 3-5 years of experience in a similar/related role
- Academic or practical exposure to wireless communications, telecommunications, or digital communication systems.
- Understanding of networking concepts, communication protocols, and network architectures. Knowledge of Radio Frequency (RF) principles and communication systems.
- Knowledge of signal processing, radio systems, or related communications technologies.
- Experience with software development, scripting, or programming using Python, C++, or similar languages.
- Familiarity with Linux environments, data analysis, simulation tools, or laboratory-based engineering activities.
- Strong analytical thinking and problem‑solving skills with the ability to tackle complex technical challenges.
- Demonstrated curiosity, initiative, and a passion for learning new technologies across multiple engineering domains
