Technical Architect (Java | SaaS | Banking) Toronto, Ontario (Hybrid - 2-3 days onsite/week) Permanent or Contract (Multiple Openings) Security Screening Our client is a leading global enterprise software organization delivering cloud-native SaaS solutions to major financial institutions worldwide. They are seeking an experienced Technical Architect to join a growing implementation team responsible for delivering large-scale enterprise software solutions into Tier-1 banking environments. The successful candidate will remain highly hands‑on while providing technical leadership throughout the implementation lifecycle.

You'll work directly with enterprise customers, lead architecture discussions, solve complex integration challenges, mentor development teams, and continue contributing to software design and development. Act as the primary technical advisor during customer engagements, architecture workshops, and discovery sessions. Design scalable cloud-native solutions using Java, Spring Boot, Microservices, and modern integration patterns. Produce architecture documentation, technical designs, implementation roadmaps, and solution blueprints.

Remain hands‑on with software development, design reviews, troubleshooting, and technical leadership. Collaborate closely with Product Management, Engineering, Delivery, and Customer Success teams. Guide customers through cloud adoption, implementation best practices, and enterprise architecture decisions.

Participate in technical workshops,



customer presentations, requirements gathering, and solution demonstrations. Ensure solutions meet scalability, resiliency, security, performance, and maintainability requirements. Mentor developers and provide technical leadership across project teams.

Support customer‑facing technical discussions and implementation planning. Stay current on emerging cloud technologies, architectural patterns, and software engineering best practices. 7+ years of experience as a Technical Architect, Solution Architect, Lead Software Engineer, or Senior Java Developer. ~ Solid hands‑on development experience using Java and Spring Boot. ~ Experience implementing enterprise SaaS solutions for external customers. ~ Cloud experience with AWS, Azure, or Google Cloud Platform. ~ Experience leading technical discussions with enterprise customers and stakeholders. ~ Experience working within Banking, Financial Services, FinTech, or other complex enterprise environments. ~ Technical Environment Core Java Cassandra or other NoSQL databases SOAP Web Services AWS, Azure, or Google Cloud Platform CI/CD Pipelines Unit Testing Frameworks Enterprise SaaS implementation experience Banking or Financial Services platforms Experience working with globally distributed Agile teams We're looking for a Technical Architect who enjoys balancing architecture with hands‑on software engineering.
