About The Role Provides comprehensive services to students, faculty, staff and external client of the audio-visual and computing equipment and facilities. Provides help to users in person or over the phone for problems related to computer services, audio visual services, video conferencing and commonly used software. AT the Surrey campus.

The work includes evenings and weekend shifts and the incumbent may be called upon on short notice to cover vacant shifts. Performs other duties and responsibilities consistent with the and classification on request.

Qualifications High school graduation and general courses or training of moderate duration (one semester or equivalent) in computing and/or audio-visual technology. 1 year of experience.



An equivalent combination of formal education, certificate/program of study and experience is acceptable. Excellent knowledge of concepts and procedures for troubleshooting computers, software, Audio Visual, Equipment, mobile devices, networks and operating systems (Windows, OS X, Linux, iOS, and Android).

Excellent understanding of audio visual, classroom and learning technologies. Good knowledge of multiple operating systems (Windows, Mac Operating Systems). Ability to deploy complex third-party application packages.

Hybrid-work program for eligible positions Additional Information The assignment start/end dates are: September 8, 2026 to December 20, 2026. Priority will be given to qualified registered SFU students who must submit a Fall 2026 class schedule with their application. This is a part-time position working various hours any day between 8:00am and 10:00 pm biweekly.
