Person who, without holding a completed collegial studies diploma in social work, will perform, within the limits of his/her experience and training, duties of a social nature with the specific techniques for his/her profession. Some of his/her responsibility can be;
Assist the social worker to explain to family the reasons of the DYP’s involvement.
Assist the social worker to review current situations at home or within their family network.
Assist the social worker with referrals to community resources and provide support throughout.
Contribute to the creation of the intervention plan and follow up on it.
Any other additional task or support discuss with the supervisor or manager.
Exigences spécifiques/Specific Requirements
Secondary V or equivalent; Fluent in Inuktitut; Knowledge of English, spoken and written; knowledge of French would be an asset Perceived as a positive community member; Sensitive, understanding and life experience; Demonstrate a positive attitude, compassion and capacity to work with others; Agree to participate in various training sessions; Knowledge of Inuit traditions, beliefs and customs; Able to respect private information;
