Job Overview

We are seeking a motivated and detail-oriented Tile Setter to join our dynamic construction team. In this role, you will be responsible for installing, repairing, and finishing a variety of tile surfaces in residential, commercial, and industrial settings. Your expertise will help transform spaces by creating durable, aesthetically pleasing tiled surfaces that meet project specifications and quality standards.

Duties

- Read and interpret blueprints, schematics, and construction plans to determine tile layout and installation procedures
- Prepare surfaces by cleaning, leveling, and applying necessary materials such as mortar or adhesive for optimal tile adhesion
- Cut tiles accurately using hand tools and power tools to fit designated spaces and design patterns
- Install tiles on floors, walls, countertops, and other surfaces with precision and attention to detail
- Apply caulking and grout to seal joints and ensure a finished appearance while preventing water infiltration
- Operate heavy equipment when necessary for surface preparation or material transportation
- Collaborate with carpenters, masons, electricians, plumbers,



and other trades to coordinate installation processes and ensure project timelines are met

Requirements

- Proven experience in tile setting or related construction fields such as masonry or flooring installation
- Ability to read blueprints, schematics, and construction drawings accurately
- Proficiency with hand tools (e.g., trowels, chisels) and power tools (e.g., wet saws, drills) used in tile installation
- Knowledge of construction estimating principles and material calculations
- Familiarity with concrete forming, concrete finishing, restoration techniques, and masonry work
- Experience with plumbing, electrical systems, cabinetry installation, painting, welding, or flooring is a plus
- Strong understanding of safety protocols related to heavy equipment operation and construction sites
- Excellent problem-solving skills with keen attention to detail and quality standards
