Opportunity ID: 6465 Description of Duties: KidFish Ice Fishing Derby is Looking for a Treasurer! Do you love giving back to your community? Are you organized, detail-oriented, and comfortable working with finances?

We have an exciting opportunity to join the KidFish Ice Fishing Derby as our Treasurer! KidFish is more than just an ice fishing derby-it's a community event that has introduced thousands of children to the outdoors while raising hundreds of thousands of dollars for the Children's Hospital Foundation of Manitoba and CancerCare Manitoba Foundation. None of it would be possible without an incredible team of dedicated volunteers.

We're currently looking for a Treasurer to join our Board.

What We're Looking For ✅ Experience with bookkeeping, accounting, or financial management. ✅ Formal training or education in accounting, finance, bookkeeping, or a related field is strongly preferred. ✅ Solid organizational skills and attention to detail. ✅ Someone who enjoys working as part of a fun, passionate volunteer team. ✅ A commitment to helping make KidFish a continued success. As Treasurer, you'll help oversee the financial health of the organization,



work alongside our Board of Directors, and play an important role in ensuring KidFish continues to grow for years to come. While there's work to be done, we also know how to have fun!

You'll be joining a fantastic group of volunteers who are passionate about making a difference for Manitoba kids and families. If you're looking for a meaningful way to give back and have the experience we're looking for, we'd love to hear from you!

Skills Gained/Related Careers: Age: 18-30, 31-54, 55+ Time Commitment: Daytime , Evening , Weekend , Flexible Hours Ideally, the treasurer will attend meetings in Winnipeg. Meetings run every second Tuesday, which turns to weekly as we approach the event. Meetings are approximately an hour and a half in duration.
