Contribute to urban forestry as a Tree Protection Inspector with the Town of Oakville. The Town of Oakville is seeking a Tree Protection Inspector for a nine-month term.
In this role, you will inspect properties to ensure adherence to tree protection by-laws and engage with residents to provide necessary information. You'll be responsible for documenting investigations and ensuring compliance during various construction projects or site alterations. Key Responsibilities:
- Inspect properties for conformance with tree protection by-laws
- Assist the public with tree-related inquiries and information
- Initiate prosecution for unresolved by-law violations
- Record detailed facts of investigations electronically
- Maintain tree databases and documentation Requirements:
- Degree or diploma in Forestry or Arboriculture
- 3-5 years of relevant urban forestry experience
- Certified Arborist credential required
