Metrolinx’s GO Expansion program is delivering more GO service across the network, including the capacity to deliver two-way service every 15 minutes or better on core routes. Work is already underway on new track, station renovations and infrastructure upgrades on parts of the Lakeshore, Stouffville, Kitchener and Barrie lines. The investment will generate thousands of new jobs and economic opportunities across the region.

The ONxpress Civil Joint Venture is comprised of Aecon Infrastructure Management Inc. and FCC Canada Ltd. This multidisciplinary team leads the delivery of civil and track works, leveraging global expertise to introduce innovative solutions across the GO Transit network. As a Cost Controller, you will play a key role in supporting project cost management activities, ensuring accurate reporting, forecasting, and performance monitoring across the project portfolio Organize and attend project controls and cost review meetings.

Track and follow up on action items with project stakeholders and functional leads. Maintain project cost data, commitments, accruals, and forecasts. Support project progress measurement and update earned value metrics.

Assist with the preparation of Applications for Payment and supporting documentation. Coordinate with Risk, Planning, Finance, IDD/BIM, Supply Chain, and Project Controls teams to validate project cost information. Analyze project costs and identify variances between budget, forecast, and actual expenditures.

Support monthly cost reporting and contribute to project performance dashboards. Assist in maintaining cost control procedures, templates, and reporting tool Support contract administration, subcontractor payment tracking, and change management processes.

Prepare Project

Controls meeting minutes and maintain project documentation.



Assist cost control, scheduling, finance, project accounting, and supply chain functions as required. 5+ years of project controls, cost control, or construction project experience. College diploma or University degree in Engineering, Construction Management, Business, Finance, or a related field, or equivalent work experience. Solid understanding of project controls and cost management principles.

Experience supporting project forecasting, cost reporting, and variance analysis. Ability to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced project workplace. Proficiency in Microsoft Excel, including pivot tables, lookups, and reporting functions.

Experience with project management, ERP, or cost management systems (e.g., InEight, Hard Dollar, SAP, Primavera) is considered an asset. Detail-oriented with a commitment to data accuracy and continuous improvement. Willingness to travel to project sites as required.
