Volunteer Opportunity Details Volunteer
Opportunity ID: 6436 Description of Duties: Following The Guild's Governance Manual, The Bookkeeper Will Record daily financial transactions
Maintain accurate bookkeeping records
Manage accounts payable (money owed to suppliers)
Manage accounts receivable (money owed by the membership)
Prepare and issue invoices
Process payments and receipts
Reconcile bank statements with company records
Maintain the general ledger
Track business expenses
Prepare financial reports, budgets and summaries with the Treasurer
Monitor cash flow and account balances
Calculate and record sales taxes, GST
Prepare records for accountants and auditors
Ensure compliance with financial policies and regulations
Track inventory-related financial and petty cash record transactions
Identify and report discrepancies or errors in financial records Skills Required Bookkeeping experience required. Knowledge of QuickBooks Online and experience accounting for a non-profit would be an asset. The Bookkeeper works with the Guild's treasurer and website designer. Orientation and training provided.
