We are seeking a dedicated and reliable Warehouse/Driver to join our team. This role involves managing warehouse operations, including the safe and effective handling of freight, as well as driving to deliver goods to various locations. The ideal candidate will possess strong communication skills and a commitment to maintaining high safety standards while performing their duties.
Duties
- Operate commercial vehicles to transport goods to designated locations safely and efficiently.
- Load and unload freight, ensuring proper handling and securing of items during transit.
- Maintain accurate records of deliveries, including tracking shipments and managing inventory levels.
- Utilize forklifts and other equipment for moving materials within the warehouse.
- Conduct routine inspections of vehicles and equipment to ensure they are in good working condition.
- Collaborate with team members to ensure smooth warehouse operations and timely deliveries.
- Communicate effectively with dispatchers, warehouse staff,
and customers regarding delivery schedules and any issues that may arise.
Skills
- Proficient in commercial driving with a valid driver's license and clean driving record.
- Experience operating forklifts and other warehouse machinery is preferred.
- Excellent communication skills for interacting with team members and customers.
- Ability to handle freight efficiently, ensuring safety protocols are followed during loading and unloading processes.
- Strong organizational skills to manage multiple tasks effectively in a fast-paced environment.
