Role Description The Wind Turbine Technician is a full time, on-site role based in Canada, responsible for the safe inspection, maintenance, and repair of wind turbines. Day-to-day tasks include performing scheduled preventative maintenance, troubleshooting mechanical and electrical issues, and conducting corrective repairs on turbine components.

The technician will work at height inside and outside turbine towers, follow strict safety procedures, and document all work performed in maintenance and service reports. The role involves collaborating with project teams and supervisors,



supporting turbine commissioning, and participating in major component replacements and retrofits as needed. The technician may work in varying weather conditions and occasionally support offshore or remote projects, adhering to company and industry safety standards.

Qualifications

- Strong understanding of Wind Energy and Power Generation systems, with experience working on modern wind turbines.
- Capability and certification for Working at Height, including climbing turbine towers and performing tasks in confined or elevated spaces.
- Proficiency in Troubleshooting mechanical, electrical, and control system issues on wind turbine equipment.
- Experience or familiarity with Offshore Wind environments and related safety and operational practices is an asset.
- Technical diploma, trade qualification, or relevant apprenticeship in electrical, mechanical, or industrial maintenance fields.
- Solid knowledge of safety standards and procedures, including lockout/tagout and use of personal protective equipment.
- Ability to read and interpret technical manuals, schematics, and service documentation.
- Good physical fitness, comfort with outdoor work in varying weather, and willingness to travel within Canada as required.
- Effective communication skills and ability to work in diverse, international teams.
- Valid driver’s license; additional industry certifications (e.g., GWO, first aid, fall protection) are highly beneficial.
