We are looking for a dependable, hardworking Yard Labourer to join our scrap yard team. This is a physically demanding, hands-on position that requires working outdoors in all weather conditions. If you enjoy active work and being part of a team, we'd like to hear from you!
Duties
- Perform various physical duties as assigned
- Must be able to lift of 50 pounds and be walking/ standing for the duration of the day
- Remain focused and aware in a fast paced setting with attention to detail to ensure safety standards are met
- Maintain a clean, organized yard and shop
- Conduct regular inspections of yard equipment and report any maintenance needs or safety concerns
- Collaborate with owner to track inventory movements within the yard.
- Mechanical knowledge or experience operating/ exposure of heavy equipment
- Automotive Scrap Yard experience or familiarity is a plus
- Strong physical stamina with the ability to stand, walk, lift, and perform manual tasks for extended periods
