Yard Operations SpecialistPosition Summary The Yard Operations Specialist plays a vital role in creating an outstanding customer experience while ensuring our yard and facilities are safe, organized, and operating efficiently. This is a hands-on position with a wide variety of responsibilities, making every day different.

You'll spend much of your day outdoors, helping customers, operating equipment, maintaining the property, and ensuring equipment and freight move safely and efficiently. Key ResponsibilitiesCustomer Service

- Greet and assist customers in the yard.
- Safely load customer purchases onto trailers and vehicles.
- Unload customer equipment when required.
- Ensure customers have a positive experience from arrival to departure.
- Direct customers and visitors to the appropriate department when needed.

Freight & Inventory Handling

- Load outbound freight safely and efficiently.
- Receive and unload inbound freight trucks.
- Inspect incoming shipments for damage or shortages.
- Transport inventory to the appropriate storage locations.
- Help maintain an organized and accurate yard inventory.

Yard Operations

- Keep the equipment yard clean, organized, and customer-ready.
- Arrange equipment to maximize appearance, accessibility, and safety.
- Install and maintain equipment signage and pricing.
- Ensure used and new equipment is displayed professionally.

Facility & Property Maintenance

- Perform general building and property maintenance.
- Keep sidewalks, parking lots, and customer areas clean and safe.
- Assist with snow removal, lawn care, weed control, and seasonal maintenance.
- Report maintenance concerns before they become larger issues.
- Help maintain a secure working environment for customers and staff.





Equipment Operation

- Safely operate forklifts, skid steers, tractors, loaders, and other equipment as required.
- Perform daily equipment inspections.
- Report any maintenance or safety concerns promptly.

Team Support

- Assist the sales, parts, service, and rental departments as needed.
- Help prepare equipment for customer pickup or delivery.
- Support dealership events, promotions, and yard setup.
- Contribute wherever needed to help the team succeed.

Qualifications

- Strong work ethic and positive attitude.
- Excellent customer service skills.
- Valid driver's license (Class 5 minimum).
- Strong attention to detail and commitment to safety.
- Self-motivated with the ability to work independently and as part of a team.
