Engage in coaching Women's Rugby at York University as an Assistant Coach.
Your role involves supporting athletes, managing competitions, and attending to administrative tasks on a temporary basis. This contract position in the Athletics & Recreation department requires you to focus on coaching student athletes and overseeing practices for the rugby team. You'll also need to manage the administrative aspects of the sports program and ensure compliance with policies during competitions.
Evening and weekend availability is necessary to support team events. Key Responsibilities:
- Coach rugby student athletes for competitive events
- Plan and facilitate effective practice sessions
- Attend OUA and U Sport events as needed
- Manage necessary program administrative tasks
- Ensure compliance with UFA and department regulations Requirements:
- High School Diploma is essential
- Experience in coaching at various levels preferred
- Valid driver’s license with clean abstract
- First Aid Certification and sport-specific coaching certification required
