Canada Health and Safety Manager

Regina, SK .Key Tasks and Responsibilities
Manage the implementation of Safety Programs and ensure all legislative and regulatory requirements are metProvide safety leadership to all safety reps, committees, management and employees and other affected groups in the implementation of safety programsLead investigations into accidents, injuries, or near-missesResearch and make recommendations for fostering safety culturePerform routine inspections and audits of workplaces in CanadaEvaluate practices, procedures, equipment and facilities to assess risk and adherence to the law - propose budget allocations to locations/equipment based on safety riskCreate and present safety communications that foster an awareness of health and safety practices (bulletins, webinars, events, summits and meetings)Prepare safety analytics (KPIs,



Occurrence Stats etc)Any other duties required from time to time or as requested by management to help foster safety culture and compliance within the companySkills and Abilities
Industry credentials such as Certified Safety Qualified (CSP) or Occupational Health and Safety (OHST) preferred, or equivalent combination of education and job experienceMinimum 3 to 5 years of hands-on safety management experienceCompetency in identifying risk and conducting risk-based decision makingStrong interpersonal skills with the ability to affect positive behavior in othersStrong written and oral communication skillsAbility to travel within Canada (Quebec, Ontario, Saskatchewan, Manitoba and Alberta)Computer literacy, particularly with Microsoft Word, PowerPoint, ExcelAGT Foods values and supports employment equity in the workplace, including accessibility.
