Machine Shop Technician – Millturn

Location: Oakville Facility, Ontario – Canada

Shift Hours: Weekend Nights (Friday‑Sunday) 6:00p.m. – 6:00a.m.

What You Will Do

- Perform own manual set‑ups by positioning and aligning tooling per set‑up instructions using CNC programming language (G codes).
- Maintain tolerances by observing operation and making necessary machine offset adjustments, cutter changes and self‑inspection (OSV‑Operator Self Verification).
- Document actions in support of quality logs, communicate all discrepancies in machining to supervision and create Product Defect Sheets (PDS) as required.
- Perform work from set‑up sheets, manufacturing sheets and drawings.
- Support and promote continuous improvement, 5S activities and Standard Work Development in the cell.
- Multi‑task and operate other machines within the cell.
- Perform other duties as assigned.

Qualifications

- High school diploma, and a minimum of 5 years of current Mill Turn machining experience.
- Experience utilizing measuring equipment in support of quality requirements.
- Experience reading and interpreting blueprints.
- Experience with Renishaw probe and probe cycles.




- Willingness to train, multi‑task and operate other machines in the cell.
- The selected candidate has to be eligible to work in Canada; successful candidate must meet all requirements under ITAR and CCGP.
- Certificate of Qualification (C of Q) (preferred).
- Verbal and written communication skills (English).
- Demonstrated ability to operate and use an overhead crane in a safe manner.
- Experience with Tmac adaptive control.

The salary range for this role is 61,334 CAD – 97,190 CAD. The salary range provided is a good faith estimate representative of all experience levels.
