West Oak Investments Ltd. is seeking a dedicated & knowledgeable Building Operator to join our team. You will provide in office building operations & maintenance, oversee vendors, & ensure all properties are cared for in a safe & environmentally conscious manner.

Responsibilities

- Ensure tenant satisfaction through strong customer service & responsiveness
- Operate building systems: mechanical, electrical, & automation
- Ensure completion of repairs & planned maintenance, both interior & exterior, including scheduling & monitoring contractors as needed
- Maintain cleanliness & presentability of properties, including garbage removal
- Ensure overall security of the building
- Monitor & maintain positive relationships with contractors & tenants
- Ensure compliance with all policies & procedures
- Assist & maintain consistent communication with property manager(s) to achieve all organizational objectives

Requirements





- Team leader with strong customer service & collaboration skills
- Willingness to advance knowledge & experience
- Flexibility in taking on various duties & work on call, on a rotational basis
- Proficiency in the English language, both written & verbal
- Ability to understand, communicate & ensure compliance with Health & Safety practices
- Experience with HVAC equipment & Building/Facility Automation Systems
- Proven relevant mechanical/electrical aptitude & trouble-shooting skills
- Computer literacy & experience using digital services
- Education with building systems, construction/carpentry or equivalent combination of education & experience is an asset
- Building Systems Maintenance Technician or Systems Maintenance Administrator is an asset
- A valid 5th Class Power Engineer Certificate of Competency is an asset
- Valid driver's license required
- Fireman Boiler Operator or willingness to obtain is required
