About the Role

This role is responsible for supporting and strengthening the safety and compliance programs across all operations. The Safety and Compliance Analyst partners closely with contractors and internal teams to monitor safety performance, identify risks, and ensure adherence to regulatory and company standards. Through data analysis, audits, and ongoing collaboration, the role plays a key part in driving continuous improvement in health, safety, and environmental practices.

Location

Oakville, ON or Houston, TX.

The Company follows a hybrid work model, with employees in the office from Tuesday through Thursday. Remote candidates will be considered on a case‑by‑case basis. Occasional travel required (10‑20% of the time).

Key Responsibilities

- Review the contractor's safety management system,



including hazard identification, risk assessments, incident investigations, and corrective action processes.
- Review contractor safety documentation, including secure work procedures, toolbox talks, training records, and safety meeting minutes.
- Collect safety performance data and key performance indicators from the third‑party contractor, including incident rates, near‑miss reports, inspection results, and corrective action completion rates.
- Identify trends, recurring issues, and areas of concern through data provided by contractor.
- Maintain accurate and organized records of any inspection reports, and safety data.
- Report to company senior management audit reports summarizing findings, non‑conformances, observations, and recommendations.
- Track and report on the status of corrective and preventive actions issued by third‑party contractor.
- Serve as the primary point of contact between the organization and the third‑party contractor on all safety‑related matters.
- As required, participate in contractor safety meetings, joint site inspections, and incident review meetings.
- Escalate critical safety concerns, non‑compliances,



or unresolved issues to senior management in a timely manner.
- Review any corrective action plans provided by third‑party contractor and monitor their implementation.
- Stay current with applicable occupational health and safety legislation, regulations, and industry standards.
- Lead company office Joint Health and Safety Committees.
- As required, provide support in the implementation of any company safety (or other) initiatives.
- Provide safety onboarding for all new employees.
- As required, assist Senior Manager, Environmental Compliance on assigned tasks.
- Support Environmental Sustainability reporting.
- May be assigned additional duties, responsibilities, or special projects at the discretion of senior management. These tasks may fall outside the scope of the primary responsibilities outlined in this job description and may vary based on organizational needs and operational priorities.

Required Qualifications

- BS or BA from college or university specific to Occupational Health and Safety or related field or equivalent relevant experience
- 3‑5 years experience in a health and safety role, preferably within the renewable power industry.
- Technical knowledge of U.S. and Canadian provincial safety regulations.
- Strong verbal and written communication skill; positive influencing skills in a team environment.
- Ability to prioritize and balance multiple ongoing tasks.
- Competent computer skills, including e‑mail, spreadsheets, word processing, and file sharing.
