Reporting to the Cost Accounting Manager, this role is responsible for analyzing manufacturing costs, preparing cost reports, and supporting pricing decisions for products and customer formulations.Key responsibilities and accountabilities:Application of Costing Model to new products proposed by Sales and R&DMaintenance of Costing Model to ensure accuracy of costing to standards.Analyzing pricing and margins of products and defining optimal price pointsMaintenance of material master and bill of material in the ERP system (Deacom) and ensuring accuracy of the dataCalculating and implementing cost standards for materials, labor,



and overheadPreparing cost of goods sold and production reportsAnalyzing various product and operational costsPerforming other month-end close activitiesPerforming annual standard cost updates as appropriateAssisting in the budget process - cost of sales and other expense accounts as assignedCompleting the annual inventory standard re-costOther Accounting Duties as assigned by senior managementQualificationsStrong cost accounting skills, including product costing, variance analysis, and inventory costing.Proficiency in journal entries (accounting) and general ledger maintenance.Solid finance and analytical skills, with the ability to interpret data and provide actionable insights.Post-secondary education in Accounting, Finance, or a related fieldProfessional designation (CPA or working toward CPA) is an asset.Experience in food processing or batch processing manufacturing environments.Advanced proficiency with Excel and familiarity with ERP systems.Strong attention to detail, organizational skills, and the ability to meet deadlines in a fast-paced setting.Effective communication and collaboration skills, with the ability to work cross-functionally.Advantages: Health.
