Reporting to our Platform Management Lead, you'll weave a network between Azure and other next-generation firewalls on on-prem networks that use Fortinet or Palo Alto that supports ourGitOps-driven, high-compliance setting. Let's do this!What You'll Do (The Awesome Stuff!):- Craft Robust Azure Networks: ManageAzure Virtual Networks (VNets), subnets, and Network Security Groups (NSGs) to ensure secure, scalable connectivity for ourDigital Experience Platform, powering flawless retail and banking experiences.- Connect:Establish connectivity between Azure and other networks over IPsec VPN tunnels.- Optimize Load Balancing:



Configure and tuneAzure Application Gatewayand other load balancers to distribute traffic smoothly, keeping microservices responsive for Canada-wide users.- Master DNS & Traffic Flow: Manage DNS configurations and traffic routing to ensure our platform's services are always reachable, delivering seamless digital experiences for retailers and bankers.- Fortify Network Security: Implement network security policies, firewalls, and encryption to meetSOC2/ISO27001standards, collaborating with our overseasCloud Securityteam to keep data secure.- Boost Performance & Reliability: Monitor and optimize network performance usingAzure Monitorand other tools, ensuring low latency and high availability for our game-changing platform.- Support Incident Response: Team up withSREandPlatform Engineeringto troubleshoot network-related incidents, perform root cause analysis, and keep our platform running 24/7.- Tackle Technical Debt: Refactor outdated network configs, update security rules, and keep our infrastructure as clean as a freshly plowed rink.- Collaborate with Visionaries: Work alongsideCI/CD & Automation Engineers,Platform Engineering, and collaborate with overseasNetworking andCloud Architectureteams to build a network that supports our disruptive mission.- Document the Connectivity Magic:



Create runbooks and maintain documentation to keep our team aligned and compliance audits smoother than a Zamboni's finish.What You Bring:- University degree in computer science and 5 to 7 years of relevant network analysis experience in a large scale IT environment.- Networking Expertise: Deep knowledge ofCloud-agnostic networking (Azure preferred)(VNets/VPCs, NSGs/SGs, Application Gateway/Application Load Balancers), DNS management, and load balancing in cloud environments.- Security Savvy: Experience managing and optimizing network security policies and encryption to meetSOC2/ISO27001compliance, ensuring secure digital experiences for retail and banking.- Performance Know-How: Proficiency in optimizing network performance and monitoring with tools likeAzure Monitoror similar.- Scripting Skills: Familiarity with scripting (Python, Bash, PowerShell) orTerraformfor automating network configurations.- Problem-Solving Superpowers: A knack for debugging network issues, from latency to connectivity failures, and turning chaos into reliable infrastructure.- Team Player Energy: Strong collaboration skills to work with cross-functional teams, including overseas Cloud Security and Architecture, while reporting to our Platform Management Lead.- Bonus Points: Experience withAzure AKS, microservices, or high-compliance SaaS platforms.
