To meet the current needs of Patients, Providers and the Health system, Ontario Health will be kicking off a series of multi-year initiatives in support of modernizing the electronic health record (EHR). These initiatives will include some of the following priorities, but may be expanded as requirements are defined completion of data contribution, enable data consumption at the point-of-care across the health system, and enhance change management supports for increased adoption.ResponsibilitiesManages all aspects of EHR Integration projects to client applications, ensuring onboarding activities meet clients business requirements on time, scope and budget, with a focus on cost-effectiveness, efficiencies and compliance with project management methodologies and frameworksEngage with clinical health care sites and stakeholders; handle client relationships to manage expectationsGather and develop requirements in order to create and maintain a detailed project schedule and/or integrated plan.Proactively identify potential risk events and issues before they occur so that proper mitigating strategies can be developed; identify potential conflicts between project and functional areasWork closely with teams at Ontario Health , such as Ontario Healths Identity and Access Management Service (ONE ID), the Ontario Health Service Desk,
ONE Access Gateway team and OLIS Product team to support deployments/clientsArticulate and prioritize issues and risks and recommends mitigation strategies for decision makersFacilitate training of end-users and distribution of materials and job aids; develop documents and support materials as requiredUse appropriate strategies and actions to overcome resistance to change and capitalize on forces in support of change during all stages of projects concept, definition, planning, implementation and close-outEnsure pre Go-live readiness: technical, configuration, workflow modificationsProvide go-live, troubleshooting and first 72 hours warranty support; facilitate transition to OperationsDevelop project status reports, deployment reporting/tracking and maintaining and monitoring status reporting logs for stakeholders within Ontario Health and the regionsUpdate and monitor project document repository within MS Teams to ensure all documents are developed, reviewed and maintained in the repositoryDesired SkillsProfessional certifications: Project Management Skilled; Knowledge and understanding of Project Managements Institutes Project Management Body of KnowledgeDemonstrated project management software skills and experience e.g. MS Project, MS Teams etc.College/University undergraduate degree in Health, Computer Science, Engineering, Business or related discipline from a recognized institution or equivalent experience desiredKnowledge of electronic health records (EHR)
and other Healthcare Information Systems used throughout the province of OntarioExperience with health system business implementation and deployment projectsProven track record working with health care professionals; direct clinical data experience or experience working with clinicians would be an assetExperience in liaising with customers/stakeholders where customer service was a key focus to responding to queries, issues/risk management, etc.Relationship building, facilitation and influencing skills to successfully partner with internal and external stakeholdersAbility to readily identify, assess and mitigate implementation and adoption issuesExperience with and/or knowledge of change management, workflow analysis and redesign, business process integration, and/or evaluation/quality improvement, preferably in the health sectorExperience operating in highly political environments and across various organizational culturesWorking knowledge of privacy policies and legislative processes Health Protection and Promotion Act (HPPA), Freedom of Information and Protection of Privacy Act (FIPPA) and Personal Health Information Protection Act (PHIPA) and associated Health Information Custodian (HIC) requirements is an assetDeliverablesSite / Client Engagement and Client ManagementSite/Virtual Training and TroubleshootingProject Go-live Schedule per Clinical SiteService Management and Project DocumentationDeployment Reporting and TrackingMust Haves7 + years experience project managingelectronic health-related projects , ideally with experience deployingclinical software systems7 + years experience Demonstrated knowledge ofclinical workflowsand associated business processes7 + years experience with and knowledge of Project Management concepts (e.g. project goals, risk, scope, participant roles, planning and quality management)#J-18808-Ljbffr
