Be a pivotal part of Vale Base Metals as the Chief Ground Control Engineer for Totten Mine in Sudbury. Drive safety initiatives and enhance mining operations through your expertise in ground control.This permanent role is instrumental in supporting the execution of Ground Control Programs and collaborating with mine-site technical teams. You will oversee aspects of underground mining, ensuring compliance with safety standards and optimizing production efficiency. The position requires effective leadership to mentor engineers and manage continuous improvement efforts.Key Responsibilities:- Ensure zero harm while meeting production targets- Maintain reliable mine excavations under corporate policies- Update Mine Design Package annually with team input- Collaborate on Ground Control and Seismic Risk Management- Optimize mine execution plans for safety and productionRequirements:- Bachelor's Degree in Mining or Geotechnical Engineering- At least 8 years of relevant experience- Professional Engineer Designation (P.Eng.) is mandatory- Understanding of mining standards and design software- Strong people leadership and decision-making abilitiesContribute to innovative mining solutions with Vale Base Metals in Sudbury.#J-18808-Ljbffr
