We acknowledge all Nations who live, work, and play here, help us steward this land, and honour and celebrate this place.The OpportunityBanff Centre is looking for a Building Services Worker to perform essential front line custodial services and care‑taking duties, ensuring a high quality environment for all of the public and office areas inside buildings across campus.Roles And ResponsibilitiesBuilding Services Workers may be assigned care‑taking or custodial service duties in classrooms, halls, lobbies, lounges, gyms, locker rooms, public washrooms, offices, kitchens and dining rooms.Examples of duties required include:Sweeping, mopping, and vacuuming floorsDusting and sanitizing counters and tablesWashing windows and window ledgesCleaning public toilets, sinks, showers,



and change‑roomsEmptying garbage and collecting recyclablesMay be asked to perform occasional heavy lifting and may also be required to use various cleaning chemicals.Personal protective equipment will be provided.Qualification And Educational RequirementsA good understanding of general cleaning practices and how to apply themSelf‑motivated with the ability to work independentlyRequires minimal direction beyond initial training and assignment of daily responsibilitiesDemonstrates sound prioritizing skills, as daily tasks will vary and fluctuate depending on the activities on campusPossesses excellent interpersonal communication skills, as this position is in contact with clients and fellow staff membersCompletes work to a high standard, with keen attention to detailPhysically fit and capable of lifting and carrying up to 30 poundsSpecial RequirementsDue to the nature of the job, this position requires the candidate to be available to work a rotating schedule.
