Job Description

- Provide customers with technical support through analytical skills, facilitate new installations, implementations, maintenance, education, and author documentation in support of the customers’ environment.
- Business and technical communication skills are important for interfacing with clients, both at the engineer and management level. Working in a close-knit team environment, as well as organizational ability for multi-tasking and flexibility
- Occasional travel to customer sites in the US and Canada is required as needed.
- Ensures management of customer expectations and resolution of technical issues in a timely manner.
- Develop and maintain troubleshooting skills on all Check Point products and technical knowledge in industry standard based technologies

Qualifications

- 5-8 years of relevant enterprise level networking and Internet Security technology experience.
- Experience with Check Point products required.
- Strong understanding of networking and operating system functions of RHEL or other Linux based servers.




- Experience configuring and troubleshooting VPN technologies.
- Strong understanding of the OSI model on Layers 1-4.
- Experience withtraffic analyzing tools like Wireshark.
- Understanding of how common TCP/UDP connections are established based on their protocol.
- Working knowledge of ARP, VoIP (H.323, SIP), and routing protocolssuch asOSPF &BGP.;
- Basic programming skills, with the ability to read and develop easy UNIX shell scripts using Bash.
- Experience providing support to direct customers, resellers, O&M;, and field personnel in resolving company product related issues.
- Must be eligible to work in country of residence without sponsorship from an employer now or in the future.
- This is a hybrid work from home position that requires two days in the office per week, in locations where a Check Point office is present.
