Risk Analyst

Location: Toronto, ON (Hybrid – 2-3 days onsite)

Duration: 12-Month Contract

Rate: $46–56/hr Inc.

Overview

Our financial services client is seeking a Risk Analyst to support a current governance and controls initiative within a business unit focused on customer rewards. This role will partner with business and technology stakeholders to strengthen the operational risk framework through control design, documentation, testing, and lifecycle management.

Responsibilities

- Design, document, and enhance operational and technology controls
- Develop control procedures, testing methodologies, and supporting documentation
- Partner with business and technology teams to align on control design and implementation
- Execute end-to-end control lifecycle activities, including testing and evidence validation
- Ensure controls are audit-ready and comply with governance standards
- Support initiatives that strengthen the overall risk and control environment
- Build strong relationships with cross-functional stakeholders

Required Qualifications





- 3–5 years of experience in operational risk management within a regulated financial services environment
- Experience with technology controls, including IT risk, access management, change management, or related control frameworks
- Experience designing and implementing controls from inception through execution
- Robust understanding of operational risk and governance practices
- Excellent stakeholder management, communication, and documentation skills

Nice to Have

- Experience with another major financial institution
- Experience with enterprise control frameworks
- Additional experience with technology controls
