The Machine Operator optimizes production of cut fabrics through acquired skills and experience on the assigned cutting machines and equipment.The incumbent accurately completes cutting production documents providing the Cutting Supervisor with timely performance details, inventory and deliveries. All duties are performed in compliance with all internal and legislative safety standards.Machine OperationsOptimize output of cut fabrics from the assigned cutting machine(s)Perform all operations in a safe manner following all procedures and guidelinesDemonstrate working knowledge of written and oral proceduresProficiently operate pallet jackMaintain secure and orderly work areaGeneral and Administrative ResponsibilitiesMonitor and track inventory on fabric in and out of the assigned machine(s)Deliver fabric to required operations in a timely mannerResponsible to order cut goodsFusing plackets as required on garmentsOperation of the tubing machine as requiredAptitude for learning new skills and tasks within the cutting departmentAccurately complete basic paperworkParticipate in inventory counts when assigned (daily, weekly, monthly or yearly)Adhere to all company policies and proceduresPerform all job functions in a safe and healthful manner, being respectful and considerate of all team membersAbide by all applicable Health and Safety company policies and government legislation/regulationsPerform other duties as assigned by ManagementEducation, Skills and ExperienceHigh School Diploma1 year of experienceBasic English and math.
