Role Description The Restaurant Manager is a full-time, on-site role based at Sylvia Hotel and Restaurant in Vancouver, BC. This role oversees daily restaurant operations, including managing staff schedules, coordinating front-of-house and back-of-house activities, and ensuring consistent, high-quality service. The Restaurant Manager monitors guest satisfaction, addresses concerns promptly, and supports team members in delivering an excellent dining experience. Responsibilities include supervising hiring and onboarding of restaurant staff, training team members on service standards, and maintaining clear communication across the restaurant and hotel.

Qualifications
- Strong customer service and customer satisfaction skills, with a focus on creating a positive guest experience.
- Experience in food & beverage operations, including knowledge of restaurant service standards and basic inventory practices.
- Demonstrated communication skills for coordinating teams, resolving issues, and interacting with guests and colleagues.
- Background in hiring, training, and supervising staff in a hospitality or restaurant environment.
- Relevant experience as a Restaurant Manager, Assistant Manager, or Supervisor in a hotel, restaurant, or similar setting.
- Understanding of health, safety, and sanitation regulations applicable to food service businesses.
- Ability to work on-site full time, including evenings, weekends, and holidays as needed.
- Organizational and problem-solving skills, with the capacity to handle a fast-paced environment.
- Post-secondary education in hospitality management or a related field is an asset but not required.
