MPS Group, Inc., a leading provider of industrial cleaning and waste management services, is seeking a Wastewater Treatment Operator based in Oakville, ON . This individual is responsible for daily plant operations, monitoring, sampling, troubleshooting, and maintaining equipment to ensure the facility meets all regulatory requirements.

Shift Details

Shift: 2nd or 3rd Shift

Schedule: Monday - Friday, 2:00 p.m. - 10:00 a.m. / 10:00 p.m. - 6:30 a.m.

Responsibilities And Job Duties

- Operate and monitor wastewater treatment processes, including pumps, tanks, chemical dosing systems, solids filtration systems, clarifiers, etc.
- Perform routine inspections, sampling, and raw water analysis.
- Conduct wastewater lab tests and interpret the results to ensure regulatory compliance and optimize chemical usage and overall system performance.
- Complete daily logs,



documentation, and regulatory records.
- Conduct basic maintenance and troubleshoot equipment issues.
- Communicate plant status and issues to supervisors.

Requirements And Qualifications

- Minimum of one year industry related experience.
- Experience in industrial and municipal wastewater systems.
- MECP Wastewater Operator Certification (OIT or higher).
- Experience in municipal or industrial wastewater operations.
- Ability to troubleshoot pumps, valves, and instrumentation.
- Ability to perform physical work in an industrial setting.
- Basic computer skills and strong attention to detail (Excel, SCADA systems, etc.).
