THE OPPORTUNITY The UGDSB is seeking a dynamic individual to join our team for a te mporary full-time opportunity in the capacity of Office Coordinator - Secondary .

Wellington Heights Secondary School

FTE and Hours:

1.0 FTE; 35 hours per week

Hourly Pay Rate :

$32.72 - $39.90 per hour, plus applicable vacation pay in accordance with the ESA; wage rate effective September 1, 2025

Start Date:

August 31, 2026

End Date:

Anticipated end date of August 6, 2027 with possibility of extension or may end earlier than anticipated

Vacancy Status:

Reporting to the Principal and Vice Principal, the Office Coordinator – Secondary is responsible for providing confidential and administrative support, oversees and coordinates office operations and maintaining school, student, and financial records. This role ensures the efficient operation of the school office and supports the overall administrative functions of the school.

Responsibilities:

This position will be responsible for performing all office administrative duties in the school including:

- Provide confidential administrative support for the principal and vice-principal




- Effectively coordinate office staff workloads and oversee delegated tasks to ensure school operational objectives are met
- Utilizing Edsembli to ensure accurate student and class data management, ensuring reliable information for school operational needs.
- Develop and maintain school, student and financial records including School Cash Online, SDS, banking and budget reconciliation
- Establish and maintain manual and automated filing systems
- Preparing and following up on a variety of correspondence, reports and documents
- Other duties as assigned

Experience and Qualifications:

- Ontario Secondary School Diploma (OSSD) or equivalent education and experience deemed equivalent by the Board
- Demonstrated understanding of secondary school operational requirements to effectively delegate and oversee tasks, meet timelines, and fulfill reporting obligations, including responsibilities related to class organization, timetabling, scheduling, graduation processes, and interim reporting including Report Card distribution.
- Demonstrated ability to adhere to confidentiality at all times
- Excellent computer skills including but not limited to Microsoft Office, SDS, School Cash and EDSEMBLI and ability to use a variety of computer applications
- Excellent organizational, multi-tasking and record-keeping skills
- Ability to work well with minimal supervision and as an effective member of the school team
- Proven ability to collaborate with others in a professional, respectful, equitable and inclusive manner.
- Excellent interpersonal skills to communicate effectively and resolve concerns with staff, students and with the community
