Your position is responsible for providing professionaland dependable service and develop our team's capability to deliver JEC's keyobjectives to all our customers and suppliers. A commitment to JEC's philosophy of Safety, Morale, Quality, Cost, Delivery & Environment is a requirement.This role will be measured against specific targets as noted in the departmental business plan.SUMMARYResponsible for industrial maintenance of facility and factory automation.ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIESOwnership of Preventative Maintenance assignments, follow Preventive Maintenance Work Order Responsibilities and Escalation Plan SOP-TE-107Review PM's for correct equipment and tasks pass forward any findingsCompletion of assigned Demand Maintenance activity in plant that may include modifying processes, custom fabrications, testing and evaluating current and new processes for improvements, PLC programming, Robot programming, HMI programmingTrain associates on basic maintenance skills and tools, OPM activities and equipment operationProvide training for Production Team Leaders on any improvements that are made to the process so that they can train Production Associates on all changesInstall, align, dismantle and move stationary industrial machinery and mechanical equipment, such as pumps, motors, fans, conveyors, and robots according to layout plans using hand and power toolsComplete communication documentation as well as updating any documentation that needs to be changed due to an improvement or change in process; This includes CAD drawings, line layouts, and SOP'sRead blueprints, diagrams and schematic drawings to determine work proceduresOperate hoisting and lifting devices such as cranes, jacks and hoists to position machinery and parts during the installation, set-up and repair of machineryInspect and examine machinery and equipment to detect and investigate irregularities and malfunctionsInstall, troubleshoot and maintain power transmission, vacuum, hydraulic and pneumatic systems, and programmable logic controlsAdjust machinery and repair or replace defective partsOperate machine tools such as lathes, drills,
and grinders to fabricate parts required during overhaul, maintenance or set-up of machineryClean, lubricate and perform other routine maintenance work on machineryAssemble machinery and equipment prior to installation using hand and power tools and welding equipmentInstall, examine, replace or repair electrical wiring, receptacles, switch boxes, conduits, feeders, fibre‐optic and coaxial cable assemblies, lighting fixtures and other electrical componentsTest electrical and electronic equipment and components for continuity, current, voltage and resistanceMaintain, repair, test and install electrical motors, transformers, and hydraulic and pneumatic electrical control systemsTroubleshoot, maintain and repair industrial, electrical and electronic control systems and other related devicesOther duties may be assignedEDUCATION AND/OR EXPERIENCEPost secondary education in Engineering or Engineering Technology desired as well as two or more years experience in PLC programming, instrumentation and controls is required or equivalent combination of education and experience.REASONING ABILITYAbility to define problems, collect data, establish facts, and draw valid conclusions. Ability to interpret an extensive variety of technical instructions in mathematical or diagram form and deal with several abstract and concrete variables.LANGUAGE SKILLSAbility to read and interpret documents such as safety rules, operating and maintenance instructions, and procedure manuals. Ability to write routine reports and correspondence. Ability to speak effectively before groups of customers or associates of organization.MATHEMATICAL SKILLSAbility to calculate figures and amounts such as discounts, interest, commissions, proportions, percentages, area, circumference and volume.
