Overview

We are seeking a passionate and dynamic High School Art Teacher to inspire creativity and foster artistic growth among students. This paid position offers an exciting opportunity to shape young minds through engaging art instruction, encouraging self-expression, and developing students’ technical skills. Duties

- Develop and deliver comprehensive art lessons aligned with the high school curriculum, covering various mediums such as drawing, painting, sculpture, and digital art.
- Foster a positive classroom atmosphere that encourages creativity, collaboration, and critical thinking among students.
- Assess student progress regularly through projects, presentations, and written assignments; provide constructive feedback to support growth.
- Incorporate technology into lessons using Microsoft Office tools like Word, PowerPoint, and Excel to enhance student engagement and project presentations.
- Organize exhibitions or displays of student artwork to celebrate achievements and inspire ongoing artistic exploration.
- Collaborate with colleagues on interdisciplinary projects and participate in school events that promote arts education.
- Maintain accurate records of attendance, grades,



and student development while managing classroom supplies efficiently.

Requirements

- Proven classroom experience teaching high school students in art or related subjects.
- Strong communication skills to effectively engage students, parents, and colleagues.
- Bilingual abilities in English plus French or Spanish are highly desirable; proficiency in additional languages like Spanish or French is a plus.
- Demonstrated knowledge of tutoring techniques and experience working with children or individuals with disabilities.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite including Word, PowerPoint, Excel, and computer skills necessary for digital art projects.
- Experience working with special education needs and understanding of accommodating diverse learning styles.
- Excellent organizational skills with the ability to manage time effectively during lessons and administrative tasks.
- Leadership qualities that motivate students and foster a collaborative classroom setting.
