: The Assessor Coordinator is responsible for promoting the Mission, Vision and Values of Regina Qu’Appelle Health Region through provision of protected quality care to clients. He/she is responsible for the provision of assessment, intervention, brief counseling, advice, information and referral about Saskatchewan Mental Health and Addictions Services to callers/clients from all age groups. "Preference for this position will be given to HSAS members in accordance with the terms and conditions of the SAHO/HSAS Collective Agreement"

Experience
- 2 years working experience in community mental health and addictions services
Education
- Bachelor of Social Work (BSW)
Other Education and Training
- Bachelor of Psychiatric Nursing is acceptable
- Training/experience in Addictions Counseling/Suicide Intervention is preferred

- Demonstrate knowledge of the Mental Health Services Act/related legislation
- Knowledge of community resources including treatment programs & support agencies

- Ability to work with various electronic, IT and manual resources
- Ability to enter and retrieve data in computer database systems
- Must understand and be able to function in a call-centre environment
- Strong assessment skills required to determine callers’ needs

- Ability to apply evidence-based decision making
- Ability to respond to clients' varying concerns and complex requests
- Clinical knowledge in mental illness, addictions, interventions and treatments.
