The Position

- Canada–U.S. long-haul lanes with runs between Ontario, the Maritimes (New Brunswick, Nova Scotia, Prince Edward Island, and Newfoundland) and various U.S. destinations.
- Regular lanes include Minnesota, Georgia, Alabama, Illinois, and Wisconsin.
- Primarily refrigerated (reefer) freight, including live-load operations.
- New equipment provided, with a focus on reliable and well-maintained trucks and trailers.
- Must be eligible and authorized to enter the United States from Canada for cross-border transportation.

Responsibilities

- Safely operate commercial trucks following all federal, state, and company regulations to transport freight across various locations.
- Load, unload, and secure freight ensuring proper handling and safety protocols.
- Conduct routine inspections of trucks and equipment, including brakes, lights, tires, and mechanical systems; perform basic automotive repairs when necessary.
- Manage documentation related to deliveries, including manifests, delivery receipts, and logs to ensure accuracy and compliance.




- Coordinate with dispatchers and warehouse personnel to optimize routes and schedules for timely deliveries.
- Maintain safety standards by adhering to all safety procedures during loading/unloading processes and while operating heavy equipment.
- Communicate effectively with clients, team members, and supervisors to facilitate smooth operations and resolve any issues promptly.

Qualifications

- Valid AZ driver’s license with a clean driving record demonstrating safe driving habits.
- Proven experience in commercial driving with a strong understanding of transportation regulations.
- Ability to perform basic automotive repairs and troubleshoot mechanical issues independently.
- Knowledge of freight handling procedures to ensure secure loading/unloading practices.
- Strong organizational skills with attention to detail for accurate documentation.
- Physical ability to operate machinery safely, and perform long hours on the road.

Requirements

- Valid U.S. entry eligibility required — must be able to legally cross the Canada–U.S. border for long-haul trips.
- Minimum 2 years of verifiable AZ driving experience required.
