Position Title: Sales Manager

Wage: $15/hour base + tiered commission

Hours: 30 hours/week

Ace Brooks is a fully immersive, tech-driven, self-serve pickleball and interactive sports venue — and also a working showroom for the interactive sports hardware we distribute to gyms, schools, and community centres across North America. We're a solo-founder company building in public, right here in Brooks.

What You'll Be Doing

This is a dual-line sales role covering two product lines:

- B2B: Our AceBall Interactive Rig — a computer vision and projection training system sold to community centres, schools, and private clubs. Systems start at $6,000+ CAD per unit, so this is high-ticket B2B sales — commission on a single close is meaningful.
- Retail: HOODOO, our original-design pickleball paddle. Built to compete on quality with $200 CAD paddles from the big names, sold both in-store and online.

We're upfront about this: both product lines are new, and the market for them locally is still untested. That means commission income will take real time to build while we find our footing together. To bridge that gap,



your first 60 days are structured as paid onboarding work — you'll help us run market research and build out the sales playbook for both lines, and that work earns you a one-time completion bonus on top of your regular pay, independent of how early sales numbers look.

Responsibilities

- Prospect and develop B2B leads (community centres, schools, athletic facilities)
- Represent Ace Brooks at local networking events (Chamber of Commerce, community events)
- Manage retail sales conversations for the paddle line, mainly online with in-person support during your weekly Bay 6 visit
- Contribute to market research and sales strategy development during onboarding
- Maintain CRM/lead tracking and report on pipeline progress

What We're Looking For

- Comfortable with both B2B relationship-building and direct retail sales
- Self-starter — this is a small, hands-on team
- Open to candidates within reasonable driving distance of Brooks — this role is remote/hybrid friendly, with at least one in-person day at the shop each week
