The Alley at Waterworks is opening in one of Toronto’s most exciting food hall destinations. We are looking for friendly, reliable, and energetic baristas / team members to join our opening team and help deliver high-quality bubble tea, excellent customer service, and a excellent guest experience.

Position Overview

As a barista / team member, you will be responsible for preparing drinks according to The Alley’s standards, serving customers, maintaining a clean workspace, and supporting daily store operations.

Key Responsibilities

Prepare and serve bubble tea, specialty drinks, toppings, and other menu items according to brand recipes and quality standards.

Provide friendly, professional, and efficient customer service.

Take customer orders accurately using the POS system.

Handle card payments, and order transactions.

Maintain cleanliness of the counter, equipment, prep areas, and customer-facing areas.

Follow food safety, hygiene, and sanitation procedures.





Restock ingredients, cups, packaging, and supplies as needed.

Assist with opening and closing duties.

Requirements

Previous experience working at The Alley or in a bubble tea shop is an asset.

Must be reliable and punctual (most important).

Strong communication and customer service skills.

Ability to work in a fast-paced environment.

Comfortable standing for long periods and performing repetitive tasks.

Able to work flexible shifts, including evenings, weekends, and holidays.

A food handler certificate is an asset.

Operating Hours & Availability

- Full time: 25 to 40 hours a week, weekends and holidays required
- Opening shifts can start as early as 10:30 am. Closing shifts can end at 10:30 PM on weekdays and 12:30 AM on weekends.
