Job Summary

Join our vibrant team as a Bartender & Kitchen Assistant, where you'll be the heartbeat of our lively establishment! In this dynamic role, you'll be responsible for working as a team, as well as solo, to ensure that the pub runs smoothly, and the guest experience is exceptional.

You'll be an integral part of our team, supporting pub and kitchen operations, and delivering exceptional customer service to create memorable experiences for our patrons. Job duties may change depending on areas of need.

Duties

Bartender:

- Prepare and serve alcoholic and non-alcoholic beverages to pub standards.
- Create and garnish signature and seasonal cocktails, including Sandpiper-themed specials.
- Provide friendly, attentive, and knowledgeable service to all guests.
- Maintain cleanliness and organization of the bar area at all times.
- Monitor and restock bar inventory, including spirits, beer, mixers, and garnishes.
- Accurately handle cash, credit card transactions, and maintain proper tabs.
- Comply with all responsible service of alcohol regulations.
- Assist in setting up and closing down the bar for each shift.
- Collaborate with kitchen staff and servers to ensure a seamless guest experience.
- Support pub and Lady Smith Manor events and weddings.

Kitchen Support:

- Prepare and plate menu items, including specials and share plates.
- Maintain cleanliness and organization of the kitchen, prep areas, and dishwashing station.
- Follow all food safety, hygiene, and sanitation guidelines.
- Receive, check, and store deliveries to ensure freshness and quality.




- Assist in prepping ingredients for service, including chopping, portioning, and stocking.
- Monitor and restock kitchen supplies as needed during service.
- Support the smooth and timely flow of food orders from kitchen to bar and tables.
- Assist with setup and cleanup for daily service and special events.
- Adapt to changing tasks and priorities based on shift needs.

Customer Service:

- Greet and interact with patrons to ensure a welcoming and enjoyable experience.
- Address customer inquiries and concerns with professionalism and a positive attitude.
- Maintain a strong understanding of the pub's menu and event offerings to assist patrons effectively.

General Duties:

- Maintain a clean, organized, and welcoming environment throughout the pub.
- Collaborate with the team to support daily operations and contribute to the pub’s success.
- Provide input on improving kitchen and event processes to enhance efficiency and patron satisfaction.
- Communicate with guests, vendors, business network and other contacts in a manner that positively represents Lady Smith Manor & The Thirsty Whippet Pub’s brand and values.
