Job Summary

We are seeking a passionate neurodiversity-affirming, masters-level Behaviour Consultant to join our dynamic team. In this vital role, you will develop and implement individualized behavior intervention plans to support children with diverse needs, fostering positive growth and development. Your expertise will help families and educators understand and manage challenging behaviors, creating empowering environments that promote learning and well-being.

You would be working alongside OTs, SLPs, Psychologist, and therapy assistants.

Duties

- Conduct comprehensive assessments of children's behavior, strengths, and needs using evidence-based methods.
- Develop tailored behavior intervention plans aligned with each child's unique profile and goals.
- Implement intervention strategies consistently across settings such as home, school, or community environments.
- Collect, analyze, and document data on behavioral progress to inform ongoing treatment adjustments.
- Collaborate closely with families, educators, and multidisciplinary teams to ensure cohesive support strategies.
- Provide training and guidance to caregivers and staff on effective behavior management techniques.
- Maintain accurate electronic medical records (EMRs) on Jane of client interactions, progress notes, and treatment plans.





Requirements

- Master's level education
- Registered with professional college and has own qualified liability insurance
- Experience working with children in educational or clinical settings, preferably with diverse needs.
- Knowledge of special education principles and practices to support inclusive learning environments.
- Strong understanding of patient care approaches related to behavioral health.
- Familiarity with medical terminology relevant to behavioral assessments and interventions.
- Proficiency in managing electronic medical records systems for documentation and data collection.
- Excellent communication skills for collaborating with families, educators, and healthcare professionals.
- Ability to collect precise data on behavioral patterns and progress for reporting purposes.
