The Assistant Operations Leader supports store operations at the Bloor St. location, overseeing logistics, inventory, service desk and eCommerce order fulfillment to ensure operational efficiency and exceptional customer service. They schedule and coach non-selling teams, manage payroll and POS compliance, and serve as a point of contact for escalated customer issues. The role drives process improvements, loss prevention and inventory accuracy while supporting merchandising and order receiving.
Responsibilities
- Schedule and direct cross-functional non-selling teams to optimize productivity and control costs
- Oversee service desk, shipping, receiving, BOPIS and eCommerce/IST order picking processes
- Ensure POS compliance, manage payroll processing and monitor non-selling expenses
- Conduct inventory audits, manage shrinkage control and reconcile shipping documentation
- Manage special orders, made-to-measure goods, RTVs and recalls and coordinate logistics activities
- Train store leadership on deferred sales, hold processing and other program administration
Requirements
- 3-5 years retail experience in a client-facing role with leadership capacity
- Proven ability to develop and coach others, with documented performance improvement experience
- Experience with shipping, receiving, merchandising, order fulfillment and inventory management preferred
- Robust communication, multi-tasking skills and a service-oriented approach
- Comfortable using technology and POS/eCommerce systems to support operations
