With the continued growth in the industry, Scotlynn is currently hiring a Bilingual Driver Recruiter in Training at our office in Boucherville, QC. This is an excellent opportunity for a highly organized and people-oriented individual who is passionate about the transportation industry and interested in building a career in recruiting. Working alongside our experienced Driver Recruiters, you will play a key role in helping Class 1 Drivers navigate the hiring and onboarding process while developing the skills required to become a successful recruiter.
THE ROLE
The Bilingual Driver Recruiter in Training is responsible for supporting the hiring and onboarding of Class 1 Drivers by ensuring all required qualifications, records, and regulatory requirements are accurately collected and verified.You will obtain and verify driver qualifications and records, conduct work history checks, coordinate road tests and orientation schedules, and serve as a key point of contact for driver candidates throughout the hiring process.
This role may also be known as Junior Driver Recruiter, Recruiting Coordinator, Driver Onboarding Coordinator, or Driver Recruitment Administrator.
ABOUT YOU
Successful Scotlynn Candidates Have:
- Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal
- Fluency in both English and French
- Strong attention to detail, time management, and organization skills
- A genuine interest in the transportation industry and driver recruitment
- Solid ability to build positive relationships with candidates and internal teams
- Ability to effectively and accurately maintain information within databases and systems
- Knowledge of SAAQ, MTO, and DOT regulations is an asset
- Excellent computer skills, including Microsoft Office applications
- A desire to learn, grow, and develop into a recruiting professional
Work experience in customer-facing roles from hospitality, banking, transportation,
telecommunications, staffing, sales, or call centre environments is welcomed and appreciated.
HOW YOU'LL SUCCEED WITH SCOTLYNN
- Support the recruitment and onboarding of Class 1 Drivers across Canada
- Communicate with driver applicants to obtain and provide information regarding qualifications, driving records, and work history
- Build positive candidate relationships and provide a professional hiring experience
- Collaborate with Driver Recruiters, Fleet Managers, and Dispatch teams to ensure timely onboarding
- Verify driver records in accordance with MTO, SAAQ, and DOT requirements
- Conduct work history and reference checks to verify candidate qualifications
- Coordinate road tests, orientations, and other onboarding activities
- Maintain accurate recruiting and driver records within internal systems
- Learn industry recruiting best practices while working alongside experienced Driver Recruiters
YOUR COMMITMENT
- This is a full-time, permanent role
- Work in office from 8am – 5pm, Monday – Friday
- Comfortable working independently in a public-facing office environment. This role will often be the sole team member in the Boucherville office and will welcome and assist drivers visiting to submit paperwork, complete onboarding requirements, and receive support.
